Skin food is very essential for glowing skin and that comes from eating the right food in the right quantity .Eating fresh fruits & vegetables is important as they provide the micronutrients and anti oxidants essential for cellular metabolism .Natural proteins like fish, nuts and white meat, grains like buckwheat, brown rice and quinoa, vegetables like broccoli, tomato and beets are very healthy and good for the skin. Avoid processed and man-made food. Omega3 fatty acids are great to reduce inflammation; this is found in walnuts, salmon and soybeans.
Water and juices detox the body by removing the toxins and waste. It hydrates the body and removes excess oils and dirt. 15% of our skin is made up of water.Drinking at least 3 liters per day gives the skin a bright, noticeable change in less than a week. It rids your skin from dryness and wrinkles. It also boosts the immune system.
Avoid the Sun:
The sun is a great source for vitamin D. The morning sun from 7am to 9am is good for the skin. However avoiding the sun after this time is very essential. The UV rays are quite strong and they not only damage the texture of the skin but over exposure to these rays can result in skin cancer. Avoid the sun especially from 10 am to 2 pm as the sun rays can get really harsh, and this is a must for even normal skin care.
Try to wear clothing that covers most of your skin and carry an umbrella if possible. Apply sunscreen with SPF above 45 while going outdoors.
Hydrating the body from inside and outside is important. Cleanse your face twice every day, washing your face more than this can result in dryness. The natural oils produced by the skin are required to nourish it and provide flawless beauty and skin care. Use cold water to cleanse your face after washing it, as warm water opens the pores which allow bacteria and dirt to enter into them.
Care of pimples and acne is very important . Popping the pimples pushes the infective material backwards and leads to scarring , redness & inflammation. Healing will take longer
This is important to remove the dead cells, dust , impurities and blackheads and smooth out the skin . It cleans the clogged pores and prevents acne breakout. However exfoliation should be avoided in active acne ,as it causes the spread of acne . Regular exfoliation improves the skin texture by reducing dullness , appearance of larger pores and makes it easier for the skin to absorb moisturizers and serums that are applied locally
Cleansing , toning & moisturizing are the basic tips for glowing skin , however toning is missed most of the time . Toners are to be used just after cleansing to restore the skin Ph balance & reduce pore size. They supply antioxidants , fatty acids , ceramides & glycerine for fresher smoother appearance . Toners have humectants property which binds moistureto the skin and prevents dryness
Removes toxins from within the body .You can start your day with warm water and stay away from alcohol, sugar and salty snacks . have loads of fresh fruits & vegetables
Remove makeup before sleep
This is important as make up contains harsh chemicals with clogs the pores and attracts dirt leading to acne .

By decreasing stress, doing physical exercise for atleast 30 mion daily , having balanced meal , avoiding alcohol and smoking and a good restful sleep of 7-8 hours . Good sleep will allow body to recuperate and improve metabolism . Physical activity flushes out toxins from the body & releases happy hormones ( endorphins ) which again improves skin texture .
Vit C intake daily
